Ponce’s Legacy Brew was created in partnership with the Ponce Animal Foundation, an organization founded after the tragic killing of a nine-month-old black Labrador puppy named Ponce in Ponce Inlet, Florida in 2017. From that unimaginable loss came Ponce’s Law, Florida’s felony aggravated animal cruelty statute (F.S. 828.12), which strengthened penalties for animal abusers and gave courts greater authority to protect animals from those who harm them.

Determined that Ponce’s life would create lasting change, the Ponce Animal Foundation was established to continue that mission — advocating for stronger protections, supporting lifesaving veterinary care, and ensuring animals in crisis receive the emergency help they need.
